Unit 2 focused on “How do we learn through our observations?”.  Students look forward to Inquiry Week with each unit because they get the opportunity to show what they learned, work with a small group or partner, and create a project that applies to real life experiences.  Fifth grade students worked hard on creating survival guides, teaching other students about their topic of choice.  Students learned about lots of different topics including; animal tracking, how to build a fire, purifying water, safe swimming, first aid in the wild, hunting and fishing for survival, how to not get lost in the wilderness, and how to stay safe in bad weather.
