Central Decatur Schools is excited to announce the registration date for our Little Cards Preschool program for the 2026-2027 school year! We invite families with young learners to join us at South Elementary to take the first step in their educational journey.
Registration Details
Registration will be held on a walk-in basis; no prior appointment is necessary.

- Time: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Location: South Elementary Office
Enrollment Requirements
To ensure a smooth registration process, please bring the following required documentation with you:
- Official Birth Certificate: To verify your child’s age.
- Proof of Address: A utility bill, lease, or mortgage statement showing you reside within the district.
Age Guidelines: Per state and district policy, students must meet the following age requirements by September 15, 2026:
- 3-Year-Old Class: Child must be 3 years old.
- 4-Year-Old Class: Child must be 4 years old.
What to Expect: Readiness Assessments
We want to ensure every Little Card starts on the right foot! As part of the registration process, each child will participate in a short readiness assessment. This is a brief, low-stress evaluation that helps our teaching staff understand your child’s current developmental milestones and prepare for the upcoming school year.
