The athletes of the CD high school basketball programs volunteered over the weekend to assist Special Olympics Iowa with the South Central Area basketball skills competition. There were 36 athletes that competed in three competitions: target pass, spot shot and 10 meter dribble. Central Decatur loves hosting this event. This was the first time we were able to host in four years because of postponements from winter weather and Covid. The CD student volunteers did an excellent job of leading the stations and escorting the groups.
