First Grade Reinforces Counting with Math Games

Two first graders practice counting with a math game.

First graders have been busy this math unit learning games that help reinforce counting skills. The games they are learning during class time are allowing them to use a number line in order to build their foundation for them to relate counting to addition and subtraction. Students are able to compare numbers using the number line or their knowledge of numbers. During monster squeeze they are also able to compare numbers and use their knowledge of greater than, less than, and what comes before and after numbers.
