Dual/College Enrollment

Graceland
SWCC Trades Academy Courses
SWCC Health Science Academy

Central Decatur students have the opportunity to take classes through Southwestern Community College and Graceland University while in high school. As a dual enrolled student, these students can earn high school credit and begin their college transcript at the same time.

Through Southwestern Community College, students can choose from a variety of online course offerings that transfer well to multiple institutions. In addition to the online offerings, the following SWCC Career Academy Programs are taught at Central Decatur.

  • Carpentry & Building Trades
  • Health Science
  • Welding

For students interested in taking dual credit courses on a college campus, then students have the opportunity to enroll in a class through Graceland University. Students would work with the school counselor to register and ensure the class works in conjunction with their high school schedule.

If you have any questions about the eligibility and enrollment process for dual credit classes, please contact the school counselor.
