ELO 5th and 6th Graders Compete in Future Problem Solving Competition

Teams of 5th and 6th grade students competed in a local Future Problem Solving (FPS) competition. The FPS model is a six-step process that challenges students in critical and creative thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making. Future Problem Solving teaches students how to think, not what to think. Our teams competed in the Global Issues Problem Solving category, which required them to solve a future scene set twenty years in the future. Students are anxiously awaiting results to be returned in March.
