Members of the Central Decatur Rodeo Team excelled at the Iowa High School Rodeo State Finals June 7-9 in Bloomfield, IA. High School Rodeo Students from across the State of Iowa were vying for a chance to attend the National High School Rodeo Association Finals, which will be held in Gillette, Wyoming in July! Students finishing Top 4 advance to the National High School Rodeo Association Finals!
Please congratulate Lane Leeper as he was crowned the Iowa High School Rodeo Association Bull Riding Champion and Iowa High School Rodeo Association Saddle Bronc Riding Reserve Champion.
Also competing in the Saddle Bronc Riding were Mason Allen, who ended the year in the 3rd Place securing his spot for Nationals, and Cooper Horton who ended the year in 5th Place.
Mason Allen and Krey Hunt received a buckle as they ended up 5th Place for the year in the Team Roping.
Mason Allen finished the year 8th Place in the Calf Roping.
Bly Hunt finished her Iowa High School Rodeo Career with an 8th Place finish in the Breakaway Roping, and is excited to head to Iowa Central Community College to continue growing her rodeo experience.
