Students created 3-D versions of the cell by either creating a plant or animal cell with the organelles and their functions along with their lesson during class. To further their studies they then grouped together and created cell analogies to compare a cell (plant or animal) to a chosen topic. Examples of group projects included a farm, motherboard of a computer, zoo, spaceship, house, sport complex, volleyball team, auto mechanic shops, a city and even a kingdom from a book.
