Mrs. Hamilton’s First Grade Class Participates in CSEd Week!

Mrs. Hamilton’s first grade class participated in CSEd Week. The theme was “Elementary, my dear coder” 

The activities were hosted by the Iowa Department of Education and STEM Council. The student’s got to hear from a rocket scientist and current Program Manager at Google, Terysa Ridgeway, she shared stories about her life and career.  She then read the students one of her books in the Terysa Solves It! series.  All classes were entered  into a drawing to win a class set of Terysa’s robots for their classroom and Mrs. Hamilton’s class won!!!!.
