Central Decatur Community School District will no longer use TextCaster (via Farmer’s Bank platform) to distribute district messages, including winter weather alerts. We thank them for this long standing partnership, but rising costs have made textcaster unsustainable.
As of January 1, 2026, all district news and notifications will be shared via SchoolMessenger text and email, as well as through our district website and social media pages. We will also continue to share closing and delay information on local radio and television stations.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to sign up for SchoolMessenger and review your contact preferences to ensure you continue receiving timely updates—especially as we prepare for winter and inclement weather notifications.
To ensure you can receive text messages from the Central Decatur Schools SchoolMessenger, please make sure you have agreed to receive text messages from the school.
If you are unsure or have not received texts in the past you can text “join” to 67587. You will then receive a message that says “Unknown response. Reply Y to subscribe. Text STOP to quit. Msg freq varies. For more information reply HELP.” Type Y and respond and you will receive text messages from the Central Decatur Schools.
