About the Academy
Central Decatur Community School District is thrilled to offer a flexible, high-quality learning environment tailored to meet the unique needs of modern students. The RED Way Learning Academy provides a robust, fully public, and 100% tuition-free digital curriculum backed by certified staff members through Imagine Learning (Edgenuity).
Designed for students who thrive outside the traditional classroom setting, the academy allows learners to access their education from home while remaining fully aligned with the local district community.
2026-2027 Academic Calendar
To keep things simple for district families, the RED Way Learning Academy follows the exact same calendar as our traditional physical schools, operating on a Tuesday through Friday weekly schedule.
Online Course Offerings
We provide comprehensive educational paths that satisfy all core graduation standards alongside diverse career-technical fields.
Middle School (Grades 7–8)
- Core Curriculum: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Life Science (7th), Earth Science (8th), Modern US History, and Middle School US History.
- Electives & Exploration: Career Exploration I & II, Literacy and Comprehension, and Middle School Computer Science.
High School (Grades 9–12)
- Math & Science: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Financial Math, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science.
- Social Studies & ELA: US History, Modern World History, Survey of World History, Human Geography, US Government, Personal Finance, and Intro to Communication and Speech.
- World Languages: Spanish 1, 2, and 3.
- Career & Technical Education (CTE): Small Business Entrepreneurship, Accounting 1A & 1B, Business Law, Intro to Business, Computer Science Principles, Fundamentals of Computer Systems, Agribusiness Systems, Animal Systems, Plant Systems, Food Products and Processing Systems, and Food Safety and Sanitation.
- Wellness & Art: Foundations of Personal Wellness, Lifetime Fitness, Intro to Art, Art History, and Online Learning and Digital Citizenship.

- Submit an Application: Complete the formal RED Way Application to begin the enrollment review process.
- Complete Registration: Once your application is reviewed and officially approved for the online program, finish your enrollment on our official Registration Page.
