The student officer teams were given the opportunity to network with each other in order to share information about their state organizations and the events they host to promote the National High School Rodeo Association.  They also had the opportunity to hear from Coleman Proctor, seven-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Qualifier, who spoke to them about never giving up and to always keep pushing forward.  They also had the chance to tour the Cowboy Hall of Fame and were treated to a special concert by Easton Corbin, American country music singer.  As their week progressed they participated in a youth advisory where they met with other student officers to learn about their associations and also had a chance to socialize with all student officers at a fun night that included a dance and a hypnotist.  Their experience closed out on the final night with a banquet and an auction that raised money for the National High School Rodeo Association.  Hunt stated “This experience gives student officers so much information to take back to Iowa to help better our association.”  A special thanks to James Young, Stacie Baumann, and Doug Dall for traveling with the Iowa High School Rodeo Team to the Mid-Winter Meeting.  Bly is a member of the Central Decatur Rodeo Team and serves not only as the Iowa High School Rodeo Secretary, but also competes in Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Team Roping, and Breakaway Roping and Goat Tying.
