Hamilton ’26 Wins State FFA Creed Speaking Leadership Development Event

AMES, IA – The Iowa FFA Creed Speaking Leadership Development Event (LDE) was held at the Iowa State Center, Ames, on Monday, April 17, 2023. Eighteen individuals participated in this year’s LDE. The first place individual for the event was Zoey Hamilton from the Central Trail FFA Chapter at Leon. Their agriculture education instructor and FFA advisor is Ms. Rosa Sondag. The second place individual for the event was Lucy Knutter from the ACGC FFA Chapter at Guthrie Center. Their agriculture education instructors and FFA advisors are Ms. Skie Campbell and Ms. Joelle Grubbs.

This event is designed to develop leadership and the ability to appear before groups by 7th through 9th grade students as they become members of the FFA. This event recognizes outstanding FFA members for their ability to present the FFA Creed from memory and answer questions on the meaning and purpose of the FFA Creed. The event is just one way members can develop their ability to communicate in a powerful, organized and professional manner. The Iowa FFA Creed Speaking LDE is made possible with support from MinnTex Citrus, Inc. through the Iowa FFA Foundation. The results from the Creed Speaking LDE are listed below:
