Geometry Class Builds Mobiles by Dilating Pyramids

Geometry students explored the relationship between dilations of squares and cross sections of pyramids. Each student calculated the dimensions of a square based on a scale calculation. Each group of students then constructed a mobile by stringing their collection of squares with fishing line.
