Fifth Graders Start Science with Mindset Study

Neuroplasticity was a key word in fifth grade’s mindset study. Students explored the mindset phenomenon which helped them begin sorting their reactions and attitudes into fixed and growth mindset categories. Fifth grade definitions of the term neuroplasticity follow:

  • flexible, bendable brain
  • ability to learn new things
  • changing your brain by doing new things
  • the brain has room to grow
