Stone Awarded DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award

Adeline Stone of the Central Trail FFA was presented with the school’s highest agricultural honor, the DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award, sponsored by Bayer Crop Science.

Ms. Stone, the daughter of Jake and Deanna Stone, received the award for excellence in academics, leadership, and agricultural work experience. Ms. Stone’s significant experiences and accomplishments have included major involvement in FFA activities, an outstanding SAE project in the areas of Swine Production, Goat Production and a Placement project, and a true desire to promote agriculture. Stone’s SAE project has allowed her to focus on enhancing her knowledge surrounding raising market hogs and goats, and also to gain knowledge of agriculture business through a placement project with Smith Feeder Supply of Leon, IA.  Ms. Rosa Sondag is Ms. Stone’s agricultural education instructor and FFA Advisor at Central Decatur Community School, and Mrs. Ashley Dittmer is the FFA Assistant Advisor at the Central Decatur Community School.

This year the DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award celebrates its 78th  anniversary.  Over these 78 years, more than 185,000 high school seniors nationwide have received this Award.

As the winner of the 2025 DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award, Ms. Stone’s name will be recorded on a plaque displayed at Central Decatur High School.

Bayer Crop Science, a long-time supporter of agricultural education, FFA, 4-H, and other farm youth organizations and initiatives, has sponsored the DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award.
