Central Decatur Community School District is thrilled to announce the launch of the RED Way Learning Academy, a brand-new, fully public online school option designed to meet the diverse needs of modern learners.

Whether your student thrives in a non-traditional environment, needs a flexible schedule, or prefers learning from the comfort of home, the RED Way Learning Academy provides a robust, accredited education backed by the trusted Central Decatur community.

• 100% Public & Tuition-Free: As a public school program through Central Decatur, there is no tuition cost to enroll.
• Aligned with the District Calendar: To keep families synchronized, the RED Way Learning Academy follows the exact same 2026-2027 academic calendar as our traditional, brick-and-mortar Central Decatur schools.  
• Certified Local Instruction: All academy courses are delivered through Imagine Learning (Edgenuity) and are guided by certified staff members to ensure high-quality instructional support.

Diverse Course Offerings & Electives

Our digital curriculum covers all core graduation requirements while offering robust middle school programs and high school career-technical tracks.  

Middle School Program (Grades 7–8)

• Core Subjects: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Life Science (Grade 7), Earth Science (Grade 8), Modern US History, and Middle School US History.  
• Electives & Exploration: Career Exploration I & II, Literacy and Comprehension, and Middle School Computer Science. 

High School Program (Grades 9–12)  

• Core Math & Science: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Financial Math, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science.  
• Social Studies & Humanities: US History, Modern World History, Survey of World History, Human Geography, US Government, Personal Finance, and Intro to Communication and Speech.  
• World Languages: Spanish 1, Spanish 2, and Spanish 3. 
•  Career & Technical Education (CTE) / Electives: Small Business Entrepreneurship, Accounting 1A & 1B, Business Law, Intro to Business, Computer Science Principles, Fundamentals of Computer Systems, Agribusiness Systems, Animal Systems, Plant Systems, Food Products and Processing Systems, and Food Safety and Sanitation.
