In celebration of National Farmers Day, the Central Trail FFA Officer Team chose to celebrate by preparing and delivering meals to farmers and other agricultural businesses located in Decatur County. These meals were prepared to thank our local farmers for their hard work and dedication to producing agricultural products. On October 12, the Central Trail FFA Officer Team started bright and early, preparing, wrapping, and packaging over 130 meals to deliver.
We would like to recognize our wonderful sponsors who made this event possible! Our sponsors included Quick Ag Services, NEW Cooperative Inc., Leon Hardware and Appliances, Commercial Roof Coatings, AgriVision Equipment Group, Leon Hy-Vee, Leon MFA, Decatur County Farm Bureau, BTC Bank of Lamoni, American State Bank of Lamoni, Smith Feeder Supply, and Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri. Also assisting us in making this event possible were Wild Jades Boutique, Central Decatur FCCLA, Spoonful of Sugar, and the Central Decatur Lunch Program.
Overall, Meals in the Field was a great way for Central Trail FFA to give back to our agricultural community. We appreciate everyone who helped make this event a success!
