Mr. Gene Olsen and Mr. Guy Clark received the 2021 Governor’s Volunteer Award for their work leading and organizing student groups in highway beautification projects. They were nominated by Iowa Department of Transportation for their many years of work and commitment. Mr. Olsen and Mr. Clark are long time teachers at Central Decatur, and are wonderful examples of the RED way (Respectful, Excellent, Dedicated) in our community.
