First Graders Compare Bird Features While Making Turkeys Gobble and Wobble

Last week, Mrs. Smith’s class learned why in some bird species the male looks so different than the female. In this activity, Gobbler Wobbler, students built turkey models that can perform wobbly dances. Students were able to observe the details of turkeys feathers, and use that information to decorate their models with colorful feathers.
