Six members of the Academic Team traveled to Southeast Warren February 13 to compete against 24 other teams. Spencer Smith, Maren Buckingham, Matthew Coffelt, Giorgia Pelliciari, Ari Johnson, Makenna Perkins along with their coach Mrs. Andrews headed to SEW early on Monday for a round table quiz bowl. Six members worked together to come up with answers to 30 questions in 10 minutes. There were a total of 15 rounds with each round being a specific genre. For example in one round all 30 questions pertain to World Geography, another round was Literature, Art, Mythology, and so on. Central Decatur students tied for 3rd place with Wayne, Nodaway Valley took silver and Southeast Warren took home the gold. It was a great day. Next week we travel to Martensdale St. Mary for the Spring POI.
