Mr. Kouba Returns to HS Art Class

Third quarter, guest artist, Mr. Doug Kouba demonstrated to the high school Drawing/Ceramics class how to throw a cylinder on the potter’s wheel.  Then Doug spent several days engaging with students, working one-on-one with individuals to talk them through throwing a cylinder on the wheel.  While he worked with individuals on the wheel,  Mrs. Pedersen had the students working on hand building at their seats sculpting creative and functional piggy banks.  The art students were very successful on the potter’s wheel and at hand building their animal banks!!  Thank you Doug for working with our CDHS art students during part of their clay unit!  We hope everyone enjoys the pottery shown above!
