Spanish and Art Students Take Multicultural Field Trip

The Spanish and Art 3 & 4 students enjoyed a combined class field trip to DesMoines for the cultural celebration of Dia De Los Muertos (The Day of the Dead). Mrs. Akers and Mrs. Pedersen took the students to the DesMoines Art Center which has a display of a traditional “ofrenda” in the lobby. After viewing the altar, the architecture and the artwork, we ate lunch at an authentic Mexican eatery and ice cream shop. We even admired a few murals in the community before the downpour of rain.  It was a great experience with great students!
