5th & 6th Grader Participate in Honor Choir

Fifth and sixth grade students from Central Decatur participated in the South Central Iowa Choral Directors Association Honor Choir, joining singers from several other schools.

Each grade level worked with a separate guest conductor to prepare their music. The performance featured individual grade-level selections, along with a combined piece where both groups sang together.

“Opportunities like this allow our students to grow not only as singers, but as confident musicians who can collaborate and perform at a high level,” said Central Decatur PK–12 Vocal Instructor Beth Hall.

Students represented Central Decatur with focus and enthusiasm while growing through this special musical experience.
